We give you heads up on where you can find them when you’re next on board…
Marco Pierre White – P&O
One of the most famous chefs in the UK, it made sense that he partnered with the British P&O. As well as providing all of the menu’s for their Gala evenings, several different restaurants across their fleet have exclusive menus created by him. Plus, if you want to learn from the man himself, their ‘Food Hero’ sailings allow you to book a masterclass with the three Michelin starred chef.
Curtis Stone – Princess Cruises
Australian born Curtis Stone trained under Marco Pierre White for years before finally opening two restaurants in Los Angeles. As well as ‘Crafted by Curtis Stone’ dishes in the main dining room on select evenings, on board Ruby, Emerald and the Sun Princess there is ‘Share’ the ultimate six course dining experience with menus lovingly created to provide you with the ultimate fine dining experience.
Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa – Crystal Cruises
Think of Japanese food and then Nobu will always spring to mind. Crystal Cruises offer you two opportunities to try menus created by the master himself, by chefs trained personally by him. Formerly Silk Road & the Sushi Bar, already on Symphony and on Serenity by the next of next month it will be Uma Uma & the Sushi Bar, where you will be able to try the more traditional sushi and sashimi as well as his celebrated Japanese-Peruvian dishes.
Jamie Oliver – Royal Caribbean
One of the most famous TV chefs in the UK, starting off with his original show The Naked Chef has now been broadcast in over 100 countries and his 2010 ‘Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals’ remains the fastest selling non-fiction book in the UK. On board Anthem, Ovation, Harmony and Quantum of the Seas you can dine at his ever popular Jamie’s Italian. Featuring his signature planks and an award winning kids menu, your only dilemma will be what to pick!
Roy Yamaguchi – MSC Cruises
The Asian Market Kitchen on MSC’s Seaside class of ships is really something special. The award-winning American chef Roy Yamaguchi has created the perfect mix of Asian dining experiences, with a sushi, teppanyaki grill and pan-Asian menu. Best known for his Hawaiian-Asian fusion food, inspired by visiting his grandparents who lived on the island of Maui, he opened his first restaurant in Hollywood and quickly amassed a string of 37 restaurants. Definitely not one to miss!
