Explora Journeys announced the launch of Explora V, their latest ship in the making, alongside the reveal of their highly awaited 2027–2028 Journeys Collection. Set to make new waves in December 2027, this next-generation indulgent sanctuary at sea is curated to deliver ultimate relaxation, understated elegance, and unrivalled space.
The highly innovative Explore V will begin her inaugural voyages in the Mediterranean during the quiet season, characterised by relatively cooler temperatures and lesser crowds. With less intense summer heat, the off season is an ideal time to enjoy sightseeing and outdoor activities. Guests can also embrace the intimate atmosphere from sea to shore, allowing them to explore the destination at a leisurely pace and gain more authentic experiences.
Kicking off her inaugural season, Explora V will set sail for 27 picturesque ports across nine countries, including a maiden call in Salerno — the gateway to the enchanting UNESCO-listed Amalfi Coast in southern Italy. These unmissable journeys will take guests on a bucket-list adventure to the top Mediterranean gems, from the sun-kissed streets of Malta, the historic treasures of Croatia, to the vibrant markets of Turkey.
The debut season’s highlight is a New Year’s Eve celebration in Naples, where guests can marvel at the spectacular fireworks display, aboard the ultra-luxurious Explora V!
After successfully completing her initial winter cruises in the Mediterranean, the brand-new ship will then reposition to the Red Sea and Arabian Peninsula as she joins Explora I in navigating the culturally-rich coasts of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain. These destination-packed itineraries give guests an opportunity to discover iconic sites and landmarks, such as the lost city of Petra, which is part of the 7 wonders of the world, as well as the many wonders of ancient Egypt like the Pyramids of Giza!
Matching the magic of the inaugural Mediterranean cruises, the seasonal highlight is the New Year Eve festivities in Dubai, offering guests a chance to admire city’s stunning skyline bursting in light and colour, all from the comfort of the glamorous Explora V.
