Cruises to Cruise Line Private Islands

Some of the other notable cruise line private island destinations in the Bahamas are Princess Cays of Princess Cruises, Castaway Cay of Disney Cruise Line, and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay of Holland America Line. Norwegian Cruise Line has another exclusive island in Belize called Harvest Caye, whilst the Royal Caribbean has Labadee in Haiti. Coming soon in Royal Caribbean’s amazing roster of private destinations are the Perfect Day Mexico debuting in fall 2027, as well as Royal Beach Club destinations like Paradise Island in late 2025 and Cozumel in 2026!

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Great Stirrup Cay and Harvest Caye are also accessible to Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises passengers, Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at Cococay is shared with sister company Celebrity Cruises, and Explora Journeys can include MSC Cruises’ Ocean Cay in their itinerary. 

Guests can pre-purchase Wi-Fi packages for Perfect Day at Cococay and Ocean Cay – MSC Marine Reserve, whilst Great Stirrup Cay allows guests to completely disconnect from the digital world as it does not have Wi-Fi. However, the island features a cell tower, allowing guests with international data plans to connect to the internet.

Great Stirrup Cay and Perfect Day Cococay are both for day-use only at present, but select sailings to Ocean Cay offer overnight stays and late night departures between 9pm and 12am. The ships that offer overnight stays are MSC Seashore, MSC Seaside, MSC Divina and MSC Magnifica.

Great Stirrup Cay: This island currently is a Tender Port, so guests must ride a tender boat from ship to shore. However, starting late 2025, guests will be welcomed by a newly-built multi-ship pier, allowing ships to dock directly at the quay without the need to use tender boats. Guests can conveniently walk or use the tram services to explore the island.

Perfect Day at Cococay: From the pier, guests can reach the arrivals centre in roughly 6 minutes on foot. There is also a complimentary pier tram that goes around the island for hassle-free transfers.

Ocean Cay – MSC Marine Reserve: MSC ships dock directly at the quay. From the pier, guests can easily walk or take the electric tram service to the island. The island only spans 95 acres, making it easy to explore on foot. Golf carts also run on loop around the island.
