Pioneering the concept of ‘freestyle cruising,’ Norwegian Cruise Line does not require any semi or formal dress code. Cruising with NCL, holiday style is meant to be effortless, relaxed yet polished, and importantly, reflect your true self. Resort casual clothing is allowed in almost all areas across the ship.

However, guests are encouraged to dress more smart-casual in select settings, including the main dining room and the elevated speciality restaurants. It goes without saying but whilst casual wear is widely accepted, swim suits and extremely short shorts must be saved for pool areas, clothing graphics must be respectful and styles must offer appropriate coverage for a dining environment.

Dining reservations can be pre-booked as early as 130 days before your cruise for Suites and The Haven guests and 125 days prior for those who are booked at the Club Balcony Suites. For all the remaining staterooms, it depends on the number of days on your cruise:

• For 6 days or less and are not a holiday cruise, 90 days prior to sailing

• For 6 days or less and are a holiday cruise, 120 days prior to sailing

• For 7 days or more, 120 days prior to sailing

Guests can also book their dining reservations once onboard through the NCL app, the stateroom TV and phone or by asking the Guest Services for assistance. Keep in mind though that reservations are subject to availability.

Norwegian Cruise Line owns two private island destinations: the newly-revamped Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas and Harvest Caye in Belize. These two exclusive getaways are also accessible to guests of NCL’s sister luxury cruise lines, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises. Here, guests can  enjoy exclusive access to soft-sand beaches, water parks, exciting excursions and world-class amenities like private retreats at Silver Cove and the adults-only Vibe Beach Club as seen on NCL ships.

Each guest may check in up to two personal luggages, with each weighing up to 50 pounds (22 kilograms) at most, plus one small carry-on bag for valuable items, medication and documents.
