Accommodation
Your cabin or suite is included in your fare. Expect regular housekeeping and fresh towels throughout your stay.
Food and Dining
Great food is at the heart of every all-inclusive cruise, with breakfast, lunch, dinner and casual bites all part of the package.
The important distinction is which restaurants are included. Main dining rooms, buffets and select casual venues are typically included as standard. Some fares open the door to multiple speciality venues at no extra cost, while others reserve them for a supplement or booking.
Room service policies can vary too, so it's worth checking what's covered before you set sail.
Drinks
Few things elevate a cruise like not thinking twice about what's in your glass. All-inclusive fares can cover everything from water, tea and coffee to beer, wine, cocktails and spirits. However, “unlimited’ doesn’t always mean “everything”.
Some packages include house wines and spirits while premium or rare labels carry a charge. Others go further, covering a wider pour across the board.
Entertainment and Onboard Activities
Most cruises include a wide range of entertainment and activities as part of the fare, including free access to the ship’s pools, fitness centres and recreational spaces. Families can often enjoy included children's clubs and age-appropriate programming too.
However, a few standout extras like spa treatments, casino play, specialist classes and exclusive experiences may still come at an additional cost.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is increasingly included in more comprehensive cruise fares, so you might not need to purchase a separate internet package.
The extent of that connection still varies, though. Some packages offer basic browsing, others provide faster speeds built for streaming or video calls.
Gratuities
Gratuities for your cabin steward, dining staff and crew may be included in your fare or added each day automatically, depending on the cruise line. This means you can avoid scribbling sums after dinner or searching for the right notes.
Where daily gratuities apply, you can usually keep the charge in place or, where permitted, adjust it through Guest Services. Any additional tipping is entirely at your discretion. Keeping automatic gratuities in place can make things simpler, so you can simply say thank you and enjoy the service.
Shore Excursions
Shore excursions are not automatically included just because a cruise is described as all-inclusive. Some cover selected tours in every port, others offer an excursion credit or a mix of included and chargeable options. The most bespoke adventures may carry their own price tag.
Transfers, Hotels, and Flights
Flights, airport transfers and pre- or post-cruise hotel stays aren't always included in the cruise fare. However, they can be added as part of a wider all-inclusive cruise package.
