Culture meets Caribbean charm

Where rich colonial architecture meets tropical Caribbean sunshine, Colombia offers something for everyone! Dubbed the ‘Land of the Rhythm,’ this South America gem boasts a vibrant music heritage and cultural traditions. Colombia is full to the brim with historic towns, vast national parks, golden beaches and a thriving coffee scene! Set on the mighty Andes mountains, San Agustín is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most sought-after destinations in Colombia – home to pre-Columbian remains including volcanic stone statues and tombs.

Situated on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, Cartagena is one of the world’s most colourful and romantic cities – famous for its turbulent history of pirate invasions on their quest for hidden treasures! Santa Marta is also a bustling port city on the Caribbean Sea, Colombia’s premier beach destination and the first settlement of Spain in Colombia. Things to do in Colombia

Wander around the colourful Cartagena

Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cartagena is one of the most-loved cities in Colombia – steeped in culture, history and tropical weather! The city’s walled Old Town is a great jump-off point for exploring the quaint city, encompassing spacious squares, grand colonial churches, cobblestone streets and colourful buildings. For a day of buzz and life, enjoy the lively atmosphere of Plaza Santo Domingo, where local artists showcase their talents! Just a short walk from the Old Town lies Getsemami, a trendy neighborhood with curated street art, pastel-coloured houses and vibrant nightlife!

Connect with nature and culture

Tayrona National Park offers the perfect blend of pristine beaches, hiking trails, dense forests and rich biodiversity – beckoning nature enthusiasts and sun-seekers alike! Spanning over 150 square kilometers, this vast protected area covers the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Santa Marta is the gateway to this national park, and at only an hour’s drive, it makes an ideal destination for a quick day trip! At the heart of this lush tropical paradise lies the Pueblito ruins, accessed via forest trails, which is a 500-year-old cultural village showcasing remnants of the Tayrona civilisation.

Discover the Lost City

Take the Lost City trek to discover the Ciudad Perdida, a notable archaeological site dating to around 800 CE, centuries before the founding of one of the 7 wonders of the world Machu Picchu. The adventurous hiking route is located in the Sierra Nevada National Park near Santa Marta, leading travellers to the ancient city on a 4-day trek through lush jungles and steep terrains. The complex of beautiful ruins was home to Pre-Columbian Tayrona people and features intricate terraces carved into the mountains. The Colombian Lost City is a best-kept secret deep in the forests, making it relatively quieter and less crowded compared to Machu Picchu.

Chase the sun in San Andrés

Sunshine, sand and sea await! San Andrés is a coral island in the Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Nicaragua. This idyllic island getaway is filled with reggae beats, stunning coral reefs, fresh seafood and breath-taking coastal scenery! Known as a diver’s paradise, San Andrés is home to numerous underwater sights, including the massive Poseidon statue lying 8 metres under the sea, as well as extensive coral reef systems and diverse marine life. Spratt Bight Beach is one of the most popular beach spots in the island, offering panoramic views of the nearby Johnny Cay plus endless sunshine and blues!
