With Norwegian Bella, NCL continues their tradition of partnering with renowned artists to create iconic hull artwork. The ship makes a statement with an original design by acclaimed Australian contemporary artist George Rose. Rose has worked across cultural, public and commercial contexts, including collaborations with STRAAT Museum Amsterdam, the Australian Embassy in Indonesia and Colab Gallery Germany. Featuring vivid colours, fluid gradients and graphic natural forms, her art has also been commissioned by brands like Instagram, Nike and TikTok.
Known for her bold murals and vibrant botanical compositions, she regards her work on Norwegian Bella as one that ‘captures the sense of wonder that travel inspires’ and ‘reflects the excitement of exploration and discovery.’ It’s a striking yet graceful first ‘hello’ to guests, a fitting flourish for the final Prima Class ship.
